With this exhibition, I want to show my own vision, personal concern in nature conservation, and
research through art, finding common ground from the sky, the earth, and the subsoil of the
Amazon rainforest where everything comes together, and from this union comes AMA-ZONE, a
network of new spaces that we can all take care of, and a new meaning appears to the territory:
AMA (care, love) ZONE (our personal and collective spaces).
This exhibition is divided into three sub-themes: rhizome, fauna and flora, and AMA-ZONE.
Rhizome
The roots in the AMA-ZONE. Rhizomes represent connectivity, collaboration, respect, and harmony,
all while invisible to the naked eye. Rhizomes function together in an inclusive system whereby,
unlike trees, they spread in an unorthodox and nonhierarchical fashion.
Fauna and Flora
of AMA-ZONE
Represents the unequivocally dynamic nature of what appears to be a static world. Fauna and Flora
symbolizes the fluid journey of jaguars, birds, water, Colombian orchids, and flowers as they
traverse in harmony across the planet.
AMA-ZONE
A personal meditation in art where harmony and balance from nature take life and give it a new meaning in this Colombian and global jungle.
